Students in Ms. Ravlin's second grade classroom have been working hard learning addition and subtraction strategies through our new IM curriculum. This new math curriculum has the students doing a lot of collaboration to help strengthen their math skills. In this lessons, students worked together to display their strategies on posters for a classroom gallery walk.

Substitute teachers at Riverside CSD earn $130 per day! If you’d like to make a difference for our students, find an application and background check form at https://bit.ly/riversidecsdhiring and submit all materials to HR@riverside.k12.ia.us. Applicants need a substitute authorization or teaching license. The degree requirement to obtain a sub authorization is an associate’s degree or 60 semester hours at an accredited college or university. The authorization course is required unless an applicant is enrolled in a teacher-preparation program and can provide transcripts showing that course requirements have been met. How to get your authorization: Substitute Authorization - Virtual January 15, January 16, January 17, January 18, January 19, 2024 - 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. each day A substitute authorization allows an individual to substitute in grades PK-12 for no more than 5 consecutive days and no more than 10 days in a 30-day period in one job assignment for a regularly assigned teacher who is absent, except in the driver’s education classroom. Students in Mrs. Graves' Language Arts class solved a "Whodunnit " by deciphering clues about sentence types that were placed around the room and hallway. The students enjoyed being detectives and solving the mystery.
