Capital Campaign
We're excited to announce that Riverside CSD has been awarded a $40,000 STEM BEST Grant, which will help fund the Capital Campaign’s greenhouse project. 🌱 The @Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the Department of Education is awarding 29 STEM BEST (Businesses Engaging Students and Teachers) grants nationwide to enhance hands-on learning opportunities for students. Annie Brooke, Riverside Ag Teacher and FFA Sponsor, said, “This grant will help us build our greenhouse, where students will develop skills in sustainability, chemical application, agricultural technology, entrepreneurship, and teamwork. The greenhouse will extend learning beyond the typical classroom, creating an interactive space that we hope to share with the entire school and community.” Thanks to Annie for your dedication to ag education and leadership in securing this grant!
