Congratulations to the 1954 Oakland Jackettes Girls Basketball Team on their induction into the Riverside Hall of Fame! 🎉
Finishing as State Runner-Up from nearly 700 teams, the undefeated Jackettes, led by Coach Lester and standout seniors, made history with their incredible season. Though they fell just three points short in the finals, their legacy of excellence and teamwork continues to inspire. 🌟
Good sportsmanship and behavior should be the norm at our events. Failing to adhere to these standards could result in removing fans from the facility and prohibiting their return for a set period of time.
We ask that we all make an effort to remain respectful of others and be responsible for our actions at events where our school district and our students are being represented.
Why We Chose Riverside ✨ featuring Vince, Andi, and Bodie Guyer!
Their family initially chose Oakland for daycare due to a family friend, then naturally progressed to Riverside for preschool. They found it convenient to stay in the district until Bodie grew older. Even when it was no longer convenient, they stayed because Riverside makes you feel like part of a big, loving family.
We are thrilled to have your family here!
Today, we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We are forever grateful for the service and sacrifice we witnessed that day 23 years ago. 🇺🇸 #WeRRiverside

Congratulations to Keith and Joyce McClain on being inducted into the Riverside Hall of Fame! 🎉
Married for 61 years and both graduates of Carson-Macedonia’s Class of 1961, Keith and Joyce have built an enduring legacy of community involvement and service. With two children, seven grandchildren (all Riverside graduates), and great-grandchildren attending Riverside, Lewis Central, and Fremont Mills, their family continues to grow in the district they love.
Keith’s dedication to Riverside and Carson-Macedonia includes 25 years on the football chain gang, running the game clock at basketball games, serving as a mentor, and helping to secure a new Riverside facility. Joyce’s contributions include subbing in the Carson kitchen for over a decade, helping reopen the Dreamland Theater, and volunteering with the new “Bulldogs of the Week” lunch program at Riverside Elementary.
Together, they’ve dedicated decades to their community, church, and local schools—whether through Keith’s custom cabinet business or their tireless support of student activities. Thank you, Keith and Joyce, for your remarkable service and unwavering commitment to the Riverside community. 🌟
New playground equipment for Oakland Elementary School has been added to the list of targeted projects for Phase II of the Riverside PRIDE capital campaign! 🌟
The equipment would benefit both elementary and preschool students. The addition of the project to Phase II has been made possible through the campaign’s partnership with the Riverside Principal’s Cabinet.
