During the month of June, Riverside Community School District was approved to have Seamless Summer Option Open Site as part of our school nutrition program. We will operate at Riverside Oakland Elementary School, 708 Glass St. Oakland, IA from June 5-June 29, 2023. All children aged 18 and under are eligible for FREE meals. We will serve Monday-Thursday and serve Breakfast 7:50 AM until 8:25 AM and Lunch 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon). Meals must be accessed at this site and we will not be able to provide a Grab ‘N’ Go option. All summer school students and Riverside Childcare students will have access to free Breakfast and Lunch on those days. There will be no food service during the months of July and August until the start of school.
We will go back to Free, Reduced or Paid meals for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have a negative lunch account balance, please get that caught up over the summer so you can start off the school year with a positive lunch account balance. We do enforce a negative lunch account balance policy and students will be given the alternate meal if a lunch account has a negative balance.
