It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of Gabe Applegate, a fourth grader, who has died from a farming accident on Sunday April 9th.
When experiences like these happen, there can be a wide variety of emotions. Everyone handles grief differently, so it’s important to respect those feelings. We encourage you to openly discuss with your child their reactions and feelings regarding the death of Gabe.
Special counseling services will be made available to students tomorrow and will continue to be available throughout the week and longer, if needed.
Please know that school will be going on as normal and If you think your child needs additional counseling or support, please do not hesitate to contact our school counselors, building administrator, or your child’s classroom teacher.
Funeral arrangements are still being determined and will be shared out soon.
