Riverside students competed at the State Individual Speech Contest in Ames on Saturday. Out of the 19 events we brought, 11 earned a division 1 rating. Kim Smith, Macy Woods, Autumn Bennett, Allyee Pierson, Kyler Rieken (Spontaneous Speaking), Jayden Bates, and Madi Sparr (Review) all earned a solid 1 division rating (the highest you can earn). Kia Meek, Cayla Schuster, Kyler Rieken (Radio News), and Madi Sparr (Public Address) earned an overall division 1 rating. Bowe Branan, Heidi Millett, Logan Skank, Markely Yanes, Holly Hering, Ally Keener, and Yasari Perez-Diaz all earned a division 2 rating.
