Riverside Community School District will continue to require face coverings and social distancing expectations by students and staff during school hours. We will make no changes to current COVID-19 Mitigation protocols.
COVID-19 General Mitigation Techniques:
Daily home screening of students and staff-stay home if sick
To avoid exposure--Face Coverings will be required for students and staff-Take frequent face covering breaks when 6ft distancing can be accommodated--with accommodations if needed-Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when around others
Social Distancing-when possible-Avoid close contact with others-Put distance (6 Feet) between yourself and others
Limit large groups and capacity in large spaces (Cafeteria, Gym and Auditorium)
Routine Hand washing and sanitizing-before you touch and after you touch!!
Avoid touching mouth and nose with hands
Cover coughs and sneezes
Enhanced cleaning on a regular basis
Minimize student movement
Limit outside visitors during the school day
Encourage staff vaccination--Many staff members have completed the first vaccination (Feb 6, 2021)
We will also continue to implement WIC Spectators Guidelines at all regularly scheduled Riverside Community School District events until the completion of the regular winter activity season.
We will, due to the large capacity of our gym and guidance of the state athletic associations, not be limiting the number of spectators for state postseason events we host. We will still require face coverings and ask for social distancing unless a family group.
